The Hidden Forest Swim Team is currently seeking a Head Swim Coach for its 2009 recreational summer swim league season. Candidates must be mature and responsible with previous swim team or coaching experience. The individual must demonstrate strong communication, organizational and leadership skills. Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in working with children of all ages and skill levels are imperative. The position will be supported by at least one (1) Assistant Coach and/or our outstanding Parent Volunteer organization.
We are an active participant in the San Antonio Lone Star Summer Swim League. Our swim team is comprised of 180+ recreational swimmers of all abilities from age 5 to 18. The season begins mid May and ends with our League Championships at the end of June. Practices consist of after school and evenings until school is out and then practices move to mornings until the end of June. Meets are scheduled on Saturday mornings and Monday evenings.

Welcome to the Hidden Forest Piranhas Swim Team!
The swim team is a neighborhood summer swim team with professional coaching and volunteer parent management. We are affiliated with the Lone Star Summer Swim League (lsssl). The swim team is open to all children through the age of 18 who can swim at least one length of the pool with acceptable proficiency. Good sportsmanship, teamwork, stroke technique and the joy of swimming and fun are emphasized. Practices are offered throughout the season at various times from May through the end of June. Attendance at all practices is not mandatory, although swimmers are encouraged to attend as many practices as possible. Swimmers are grouped by age and ability for practice. Swimmers compete with swimmers of the same gender and age group. Age group placement is determined by the swimmer's age on May 31st.
The first meet is a practice meet held at the Hidden Forest pool, followed by regular meets. The season ends with an all-day championship meet, followed by an awards dinner and pool party.
